Wildlife at your doorstep
At Long Lake Adventures, we are committed to providing each and every guest with a quality Black Bear hunting experience that is unmatched in New Brunswick. We have exclusive Black Bear hunting territory on entirely private and remote forest land and offer hunts in both the spring and fall seasons.
The experience
Being the only black bear hunting outfitters in New Brunswick that spend the entire spring, summer and fall here in our private wilderness, we have the advantage of scouting and closely monitoring the best areas within our territory for most of the year. Thanks to our isolated location in northern New Brunswick, our accommodations are close hunting areas, making commute time very minimal.
We deploy several trail cameras year-round, and we also put in a lot of good old-fashioned leg work to put our hunters on the best baits and our experienced guides know the hunting areas very well.
We cater our Black Bear hunts to smaller groups or individual hunters. If you’re a first-time bear hunter, your guide will provide you with the know-how and teach you the skills to make sure that you get the most of you Black Bear hunting experience.
Hunting season
Black bear hunting season in N.B. is essentially divided into two seasons:
Spring Season - Beginning in late May and continuing through the month of June.
Fall Season - Beginning in October and running through November.
Hunting bundles
Fall Black Bear hunts may be combined with Ruffed Grouse or possibly Whitetail Deer hunting. Our fully outfitted hunts include lodging, guiding, meals, transit to hunting areas and game preparation.
Note: Effective since 2014, rifle hunting commences September 1 and continues until November 1.
During Moose season which is the last full week in September, bear hunting is restricted to bows and crossbows only.
All bear hunting is done over baits in the evening.
